KUEH KOLEH

bahan-bahan:

100 g. brown sugar
200 g. granulated sugar
200 ml. water
200 g. green bean flour
400 ml. water
500 ml. thick coconut milk
1/4 teaspoon salt
500 ml. thick coconut milk (for tahi minyak) oil to grease tin

cara-cara:

1. Bring to the boil brown sugar, granulated sugar and 200 ml water till all the sugars have dissolves. Leave to cool.
2. Combine flour, water, thick coconut milk and salt till smooth. Strain into a wok.
3. Stir over low heat till mixture is thick and cooked.
4. Grease a square 22 cm. tin with oil. Pour the mixture on top, then flatten it with a banana leaf or the back of a spoon.
5. Leave to cool before slicing kuih
6. To prepare tahi minyak: Stir thick coconut milk over low heat for 1 hour or till it turns to oil. The brownish residue that is formed is called tahi minyak. Sprinkle the cooled kuih with tahi minyak, then cut into slices
